Public protests have continued uninterrupted in Georgia for one year and seven months following the decision of the Georgian Dream government on 28 November 2024 to suspend the country's European integration process. Despite ongoing repression against demonstrators, the protests have evolved. Over recent months, thousands of citizens have gathered every Saturday evening to participate in large-scale marches, expressing their opposition to growing authoritarianism and democratic backsliding.
